Oil, filter and air filter questions for '01 S3

Time for an oil change - Any suggestions as to what parts/ oil to go with? Thanks, Luke

I always use a Triumph filter and Mobil 1 oil. As for the wrench, NAPA makes an adjustable filter wrench that fits nicely on the end of a socket wrench.

A gazillion threads on oil & filters etc on the S3, Sprint & Daytona forums - the search is your friend.
That being said, Purolator Pure1 is the best filter out there.

mobil "m1-108" filter, mobil "4t motorcycle synthetic 10-40" (car oil's also okay if you don't have big mental objections to it. just choose same grade/ weight). blow old air filter out (from inside out) with compressed air unless torn, then replace. if you don't have compressor knock filter on clean cardboard against wall.

hope this helps!

Yep, the Purolator Pure One filter #14610 and 14612 ( a bit shorter) are the best filters in independent tests. There are a lot of ( mostly ininformed) opinions about which oil is best. I've used the Mobil 1 15/50 without my motor blowing up, but use mostly Red Line 15/50. You could spend days reading about oil, by doing a search.

Exactly - I'm closing this, there are enough threads on here on the subject.
