What about the mileage with the Rosso's? Can anyone tell yet?

In its latest issue, French magazine Moto Revue ranks the Rosso's as the #1 sport tire ahead of the Bridgestone BT016's, Metzeler Sportec M3's, Michelin PP's, Continental Contisport Attack's and Dunlop Qualifier's.

they`re rubbish in the wet (no tread on the last inch either side)

I've read an interview with someone from Pirelli in a magazine here..
The guy said they don´t have tread on the outer edge of the tire because you can´t get the lean angle anyhow in the wet to ride on the part where there is no tread, you get more grip in dry without the tread and it looks better..

Makes sense..

I believe he was talking about the Rosso´s here..
