T509 Exhaust question

*Newbie alert*
I'm looking to change the exhaust on my 97 speed triple. I see alot of bikes on here with those short exhaust cans and i'd like to get one for my bike but when i search for them the only one that comes up is the exhaust i currently use. Does anyone have any ideas on where to look or who to contact? The end result i'm looking for is two fold:
Clear the exhaust can out of the way so that the wheel profile is more visible.
I'd like to get a louder exhaust note.
* I had a d&d pipe on my VFR and it had a throaty growl that i liked.
*Someone mentioned to me that i might be able to cut my current exhaust can and place it under the seat, but that may be beyond my abilities. Also- how will that effect the bike? What are the cons to doing this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ray

Any exhaust that fits any 97-01 Daytona or Speed Triple will also fit your bike.
As well as 'stubbies' (GP style) there are also some high mount options that will mount up close to the body-work, also giving more wheel exposure. & then Wolf-Trident does an undertail system if your budget will stretch that far!

Take a look at www.trident-exhausts.com - we have both high level and stubby pipes that will show off the back wheel as well as make the bike sound and perform much better

We also do a proper under the seat system which really transforms the bike.

Maybe check out Team Triumph in Janesville, WI. http://www.rideteamtriumph.com/intro.htm

They used to sell an underseat exhaust, but not sure if they do anymore. They did mine a long time ago and it looks pretty good.

With a little work a muffler shop won't have any trouble fitting an 06-07 Yamaha R6 muffler. All I needed was a 1 3/4 peice of exhaust tubing bent slightly to the correct angle. It fit perfectly into the female ends of my collector and the R6 muffler. Here is my exhaust setup:

Now that the Micron serpent is out for the R6, I'm looking for an excuse to buy this to replace my Akrapovic R6 pipe with.
