Good Plug & Play alarm?

Hi,

What options are there for "Plug & play" alarms?
I know of Talon and Scorpio alarms that apparently connect to the alarm connector in most modern triumphs but no others.
Im not keen on cutting wires when I dont have to.

The triumph alarm is FAR too expensive.

Scorpio is good

i have one of these on my Sprint ST. The install was extremely simple with the wiring harness. I have been using the SR-i500 (i think) alarm for nearly 1 year and have been very pleased with it.

There is also the Gorilla alarm. I don't know much about them. Try "googling" it.

I know Gorilla gets good reviews, and my dad's works just fine, but mine decided to turn on and off randomly (as I was driving down the highway). It was never really right. I have installed another on a friend's bike with no issues.

Sadly the Scorpio is out of my price range, £229 is alot of money for an alarm.
The Talon seems my best option. £124.99 is far better for my wallet.

Ignition Disable

I space out on the name of this one, I will look it up tonight, but what it is is a ignition disable system. You replace your starter relay with the supplied relay that has an RF system built in. You get a key tag that talks to the relay that enables you to start the bike. It was in the current issue of Cycle World.

Alarm Questions

I'm trying to determine whether to get the Talon T3300 or the Scorpio SR-i600 alarms. For the most part the bike is part the bike will be parked in my carport or at work where crime is pretty low. I don't even lock my Jeep when the hardtop is on. The only reason I would consider the paging is for trips when I'm in a hotel room on a trip.

1. Does the SR-i600 utilize the factory alarm LED like the Talon system does?
2. Does either alarm allow deactivation by just turning the ignition key a set number of times like the factory alarm?

Have you thought about Lo-Jack early warning?

There is no monitoring charge for Lo Jack. Admittedly, it is expensive but worth the cost of being able to recover a vehicle and possible bust the thief.
