HELLA 500FF in the Speed Triple??

Hello Team:

I want to replace my current setup:

with the Hella lights to get closer to the original look of the Speed Triple.

The Hella lights (500FF) are $65.00 at Wally-World, it beats the price of the original lights..!!

http://www.hella.com/produktion/Hell...0/Model500.jsp

Here's a pic of the Hella: (Dimensions: 6-7/8 x 6-3/8 x 2-5/8 inches)

Any ideas how to install the Hella lights using the original base in the bike??

Any ideas and suggestions are really appreciated.

Thank you very much.

Get a machinist to fab up a hollow piece which has internal threads that fit the Hella. And outer diameter to fit the Triumph part. Then you can turn the Hellas sideways -> thread into the new piece -> mount this new piece to the Triumph headlight mount.

The above is assuming that the Hella reflector can be rotated 90 degrees in it's housing. If not, then you might end up with a crap light pattern if they are rotated.

That's a good idea but I do not think he HELLA reflector can be rotated, there's a "TOP" mark in the reflector showing how it needs to be aligned.

Try here, about half way down the page. I have them and they work great. I just used the replacement bulbs/lenses but they also sell the cans.

I have Adjure headlamps on my S4.
Hella bright, even though my alignment is correct I still get flashes off car drivers.
High beams rock with these on

Why do you want to mount driving lights rather than headlights?

Here's a set of OEMs on EBay - from a later model but I think you can maybe make them fit with the correct brackets ........

Thanks for the heads-up on the eBay lights, they went for a total price of $244.00..!!!

Still expensive for a pair of used lights with some dents and missing one of the parking bulbs.

Yesterday I got the HELLA 500FF, I just need to figure out how to mount them.
