back in the fold

After a two month sabbatical with Japan, I'm back. I had a wreck on my Supermoto in July and it has rendered one arm pretty FUBARED. So I traded Speedy on a new Concours14 in October. After having one problem after another (mainly with the dealer) and missing the sweet triple, I traded back with the dealer for my old bike back. I'm still going to get something else, but I'm staying in the family. I'll almost definately get a Tiger. So if anyone knows of a dealer in the southeast (preferrably near Atlanta) that has an 07 leftover, lemme know.

**** it's good to be back. On the way home from getting the Triple back, everything felt right again. Hard to explain, but I just felt like a weight was lifted off me when I got rid of the Concours.

Welcome back!

I hope your arm isn't permanent, or if it is then not serious enough to stop you really enjoying speedy. As for the Tiger, I was looking at one not so long back. Not sure it's what I'm after (want a comfy all-rounder with plenty of space for touring, but think the Tiger might be a little top-heavy. Currently considering a Sprint), but it looks like a cool bike in it's own right.

Good luck with them all, get as many as you can and ride them 'til you can't get up on them anymore

Welcome back to the Triple fold, and I think the Tiger is a sweet bike!

Best of luck with the broken wing, Red. I hope it heals up as well as possible.

If you haven't already, check out Performance Powersports up in Chattanooga.

Looks like they have a few leftover Tigers. I got my Speedy up there and highly recommend taking a look. You'd have to pay GA sales tax when you register the bike here, but that included, they still saved me $1000 over any of the Atlanta dealers. Was well worth the drive from Marietta for me.

Great customer service too. They'll quote you a OTD price over the phone and won't try to add on to it when you get there. They've also given me 15% off on everything I've ordered from them since.

Otherwise, I imagine you already know about Atlanta Triumph/Ducati. You won't get the best price there, but there service department is probably the best in the area. Just don't let 'em talk you into a Multistrada when you get there.

If you're anywhere near Cumming, hit up Machines in Motion. I'm pretty sure I saw a Tiger in there.

Glad to hear that you are back. Sounds like a serious accident. I have heard mixed reviews about the Concours. It looks real nice but seems to have failed with the magazine reviews.

Sounds just like Cycle Accessories West in Jax, FL where I got my Triple. I expected *something* to change when I got down there, but it was just like what we talked about over the phone.

Yeah, I've been there. I actually test-rode a Tiger before I bought the Concours. Why I didn't just buy it then I have no idea. I really like the Sprint, but I'm not really gaining any comfort for long days in the saddle if I go that route, due to the arm situation. But I'm going to find somewhere hopefully that I can ride both back to back to see just how different they are for me.

Thumbs up

I have both love em ! The Tiger isn't top heavy to me. I'm 5'6" so if it was I would have a different option .

You would be correct. I spoke with the sales manager last week, and seem to have a deal done over the phone for a white Tiger. If it ever warms up enough, I'm headed up there to N. GA Triumph to get it.

Thanks for the head's up!!!!
