2008 Speed Triple Release
When can we expect to see the 2008 S3 down under? It is killing me as I have my eye on a Buell but really would like to see the new triple and ride before making up my mind. For that matter, what is the offical release date anywhere in the world?

I'm in exactly the same boat as you mate, I love S3's but it seems the Buell XB12SS has got my attention too.

I am in California and dealer tells me he will be getting his around March 2008. Just put a deposit down for a Blazing Orange with an Arrow full exhaust. As for the Buells I was looking at the XB12 also, but you get way more bike for the money with the speedy.

Thanks everyone. Not sure if i can hang out till March/April though, as my back and shoulders want something more comfortable than the R1. Who mentioned Daytona 1050? Now that could really upset the apple cart!

I'm no expert on sportsbikes but I ridden friends bikes and the R1 and the daytona 675's riding position felt kinda the same to me. So I'd imagine a big daytona would be at least a similiar riding position to the R1's. Anyone feel free to correct me on this, as I am making an assumption based on limited experience...

One other thing, even though the 08 S3 has a few changes, from what I've seen and read its not going to be a different riding experience to the current model (power and riding position not significantly changed). So raven & surge could ride the current model to see if they thought the 08 was worth waiting for. You never know, you just might be so impressed you pick up a run out of the current model at a great price.
