So far I've noticed that the fuel light pops on at exactly 110 - 115.
Same here. And I do not have burning oil issue.

Pros:
Fast
I haven't seen myself yet. Meaning there aren't a lot around
The instrument cluster is cool.

Cons:
The wind, oh my God the wind!! I've got a flyscreen on order and I've heard they help a lot.
Turn signals don't self cancel. Easily fixed with an aftermarket adjustable relay but come on, the Hyosung down the street does that...
Waiting for the **** break in period to end!!!!

Good & Bad ...
Hi. I've had my Speed Triple for a year, from new. I've never owned a Triumph or a Triple before. I've had a 2-stroke, a single cylinder, a V-Twin & four cylinder bikes ... all had quirks, good & bad. The Triumph has been the best bike, by far, I've ever owned. I toured for 10 days a month after buying it & it was fantastic. I put the Ventura bike rack system on which also worked & fitted perfectly.

Last weekend, I got the bike out (after maybe a month lay-up) & the battery was completely dead. It would not recharge at all. I've bought a new battery & Optimiser ... which in hindsight I should have done earlier. I just never expected the battery to be unrecoverable. I guess that's the way batteries are these days. Has anyone else experienced this with the battery ... or did I get a dud?

So, that's my only bad thing. Still can't fault the bike.

My '06 Sprint and '07 Triple, 3000 miles on the Sprint and 3500 on the Triple, both just sat for almost 5 weeks and both fired right up.

The Sprint was covered and parked in the garage. The Triple was covered and parked in the house. Yes, my wife rocks.
