new recall?

Is it an official recall and if so, where can I get the detailed info to print out as proof? My dealer made me buy it. not expensiv, like $6 I believe, but then he just gave it to me without installing it. Am I getting s"#$% here?

When I had mine in last October they did the wire fix and gave me the plug socket.

Is there anywhere else ( i.e. official) on the net we can check for recalls etc etc
