Called Sargent on 1/14/2005 and was told S3 seat will be available by the time Daytona rolls around in 6 weeks.There will be a discount for those who pre-register. :-D

And I had given up on waiting for a production seat. I just bought a stocker off EBay and was going to get a custom job. Maybe I'll wait now. Decisions, decisions....

Hard to believe. I have been waiting since this summer for one. I will believe it when I see it. Perhaps I can pick one up at Daytona

I just emailed them last week and was told by Mark that it's almost ready. He said 6-8 weeks. He also said that the problem was that they had limited and sporatic availability to a bike (for whatever reason).

I don't know why the would have off/on access to a bike for fitment. Maybe the Triumph dealer in Jacksonville, FL that's about 10 minutes away from them (where I bought my Triple) would loan them one every now and then. Just a guess on my part though.

I'm assuming ya'll are talking about a 2004 or earlier S3 saddle from Sargent....

I'm curious what the 2005 seat is going to bring... it looks potentially painful. (But perhaps that's just a visual trick w/ the tail section being that much shorter)

Don't worry. By the time they change the model again ina few years, Sargent just might have one ready for ya.
