O2 Sensor woes

Okay...

So I bought myself a sweet little Eagle high mount exhaust for Isabel, my 07 S3. It came off an '05 model. Been umming and arring for a few months over what to get. Almost picked up an arrow lowmount cos the Aussie dollar is doing quite well...

Anyway... Got it on Ebay for $200 - No one go telling me I got ripped off... OK?

Strip my oems off tonight, plug the eagle on and AAAAAAARGH... The O2 sensor won't fit.

The threaded hole in the pipe is about 2mm wider than the thread on the stock O2 sensor...

GRRRRRRR! It sounds sweet though!

Any ideas for a fix? Can you get adapter bush or something? Or do I have to look for a new O2 sensor..? And if so... are the connectors standard or am I going to have to start cutting wires?

I do own:
  1. A screwdriver
  2. A hammer and
  3. a tube of grey gasket gloop

If it's any use!?

Cheers in advance chaps!

a) Take pipe to local Helicoil shop along with existing O2 sensor and ask them to fashion new threads of the correct size on the pipe

b) Take kit to local muffler shop and ask them to weld a new bung of correct size on the pipe

c) Source correct O2 sensor for your pipe from eBay (no idea if a '05 sensor will work with the new '07 Keihin ECU)

d) Use TuneBoy to disable O2 sensor and plug hole in pipe. Use O2 sensor as lucky charm on car mirror.

Wouldn't this cause running problems at shallow throttle positions?
