Angry Mivv pipe no fit so tight!

I was pumped to receive my Mivv Saturday. Fitted and noticed how the pipe has some good wiggle room where it attaches to the link pipe. I pushed, twisted, sweated, slipped, and grunted to push the thing on there harder. Still a bit wiggly.

i figured once it warmed up, the metal would expand and seal it up. Not so much.

rode 300 miles and came back with a nice little bit of carbon build up at the lower section where the spring attaches the two.

what gives? anyone else experience this?
I'm considering putting some gasket sealer in the to totally seal it off. good idea?

I have no experience with mivv but I was thinking about buying one. Which one do you have?

This is the carbon GP pipe. I bought it from PJ and HIGHLY recommend you do the same.
Best price and killer service. I called him on Saturday and explained the situation. He pulled another off the shelf, tested its fit, and said he'd express another link pipe to test if necessary.

It sounds like a gasket. I went through this on another bike. But, then again, that was another bike and different pipe manufacturer.

I was thinking the same thing as Night Train, you did use the stock gasket in the header pipe right?. I have a Mivv carbon fiber GP on my 06 and it fits nice and tight. I also suggest you remove the db killer if you haven't already.

mine fit like a glove. do you have an 06 or an 07? my 07 mivv carbon gp fit absolutely perfectly with no tugging, pushing, sweating, etc.

pj's parts is definitely good people. some of the best customer service i've ever dealt with.

I'm experience a leak at the section where the can connects to the link pipe. Link pipe to header is perfect!
