Painted Mid-Pipe Shield - Pix

Been trapped in my house for two days with fires looming everyhwere so decided to try painting the lower exhaust shield where the mid-pipe connects. same paint I used to paint the radiator cowls which have held up perfectly through a rain storm and a week of non stop riding.

Looks good. Did you use high-heat paint?

Yeah a self-etching primer (few coats) and then Engine block paint (with ceramic in it so it says on the can), like 5-6 coats of that with minimal wet sanding in between to smooth out any small bumps...very light easy sanding. REALLY makes a sweet touch to the looks of the bike! All in the little details.
