Anyone played with lowering the rearset height, I currently have small back issue that causes me to be in a little discomfort on the bike at the minute.
Hopefully it eill be fixed in the next few months but I don't want to stop riding over the British summer
I feel that if I lowered the pegs a bit I could get a comfy ride out of her ........the bike that is???
I'm a big guy and my found that installing buell xb12 lightning pegs gives it a 1" drop and is SOOOO much easier on the knees and gives quite a bit more room. I installed the stock pegs last weekend to try and avoid clearance issues on the track and couldn't bear the stock peg height. Knees were throbbing after a 2 hr ride. You'll have to grind them down to fit in the perches, but they are an easy $40 fix!
You can get adjustable lowered ones on eBay. Not tried them but they look just the job for about £30. Stuff out of China is pretty good these days like the levers.
Search on "speed triple pegs adjustable" and you will find them.
I have LSL rearsets. I used to have them up so I could have the most amount of ground clearance. But, in the 9 years of owning my bike, my knees can't take it anymore. So, I lowered them and I'm happy now.
Have the best day you can!
