After many years on this forum, I want to say thanks to all you guys for the great advice and fun times I've had here.
Some really good mechanics. Excellent place to spend some time! God Bless. http://charlotte.craigslist.org/mcy/5560833764.html
Wow well thats awsome to hear.thats insane that youve never had vavle clearances change. These triples must be bullet proof, literally. My sprint has 33000 miles hoping to get 100 thousand but the notorious ticking the triples make is really bugging me and giving me doubts.
I would hesitate to buy a goldwing with 108,000 miles being 'not so mechanically inclined' good looking bike all the same and it says something for your skills to go 108 without a slide or being a s3 going off the back. gettin' old blows but pretty soon vr riding should be cheap.
Sorry to hear of your vision problems Phi1. Wow 108K on your Speedy is more miles than some riders will do in a lifetime! Your package is awesome, so clean. Good luck to you and your sale. On to new adventures for you!
Phil , Great shame & an equal loss to us as well .... but I'm sure you thought long and hard on such a massive call..... the decision must have been the hardest thing to do & I commend & admire your rational . Clearly it's a 2 way Street with the bikes milage ............A bike will only deliver that sort of pay back milage and appearance if it's been treated well & caringly, therefor it's also a testiment to your mindset and mechanical understanding and ability . All the best for the future Phil . Lee.
What a great bunch of guys!
I've had a very long and very enjoyable riding life and I'm grateful for it.
Started when I was 12 on a "Whizzer" motorbike so have been riding for 68 years less time off to raise a family and earn a living.
Probably well over 400K miles.
Really can't ask for more than that. I'm happy. Met a lot of wonderful people and never had any serious trouble on the road.
Want to wish all of you a safe and sane riding experience with all the fun you can stand!!
