These things certainly look the part! Very excited, almost half a penny's length in thread. Now, if only I could find a shop that won't charge an arm and a leg to mount them, NJ/NY area anyone with info on this? Thanks
Keep us posted on how you find them. Looked at getting one myself, but they still haven't arrived in the country yet, so opted for a Bridgestone S21 instead.
Fitted previous version for a touring holiday on my S3 - was mightily impressed with wear and stickiness. Let's hear your views after a few miles in the wet and dry.
I'll be probably fitting a set of these later this week. Currently have Bridgestone T30's fitted, great tyres would fit again but will see what the tyre guy suggests when I see him. Hoping I'll get a few more miles out of the Roadtecs. Just over 5k from the Bridgestone's on the rear. Front has a few mm left but will swap.
I'm running the T30's as well and love the tire, but there's no way I'll get over 4K out of them...I've also done 2 track days, so that doesn't help the life at all.
So, the mechanic didn't have the oversized Allen key for the front wheel, he ordered it and will change them Tuesday... At least I don't have to carry the tires around my waist hula hoop style anymore!
Haha yes luckily they still fit around my winter weight, so tires are finally on and feel nice and planted, not getting a real test since here in NY I'm either slaloming around potholes and jaywalkers so no high speed curves for me until I'm back in Miami, no noticeable "comfort" increase on ride, they do have a cool thread look, and as I said before, the grooves are really deep so I foresee great mileage out of these.
Quick update, I've ridden about 600 miles with them now, a bit of town but mostly fast funday rides. So far so good. Nothing to dislike, I'd say they feel a little better than the T30s I had on before and I liked them.
Haven't done any extended wet weather riding yet.
