D&D exhausts?

I have an 04 S3 and I'm thinking about buying an aftermarket exhaust. You can buy D&D ones pretty cheap on fleebay (I have a limited budget and can't spring for the $500 for a triumph original).

does anyone have experience with D&D silencers? Are they any good? I have only seen the aluminum ones in the flesh and they look a bit cheap. any thoughts anyone?

I don't have any experience with D&D on Triumphs, but on other bikes they're LOUD....and not nice sounding, just loud for the sake of being loud.

Yep, I agree. I wouldn't personally buy a D&D.

They pride themselves on having one of the loudest exhausts on the market. If you live in an area with picky cops, easily annoyed neighbors or if you have a desire to keep your hearing for a few more years, I wouldn't recommend it. I've heard them on a Ducati before, and they defiantly stand up to the "loud" hype. I was going to get one for my Kawasaki, but the cops in Santa Barbara are harsh on import vehicles (cars and bikes alike), but seem to look the other way with Harley's, mustangs and camaro's. They pulled a buddy of mine over for having a modified exhaust on his BONE STOCK Mitsubishi Evo8. Oh well, what are you gonna do....
I would go with the 2bros racing pipe. They have a high mount system for the 04's that looks and sounds great. It was what I was going to get if I went with the 955i instead of the 1050.
