Question spark plugs

a stupid question...but what kind of spark plugs go in a 2005 speed triple?
i can't even seem to find my answer online through search engines..my normal failsafe.
my bike seems to spit in first gear and low rpms...i'm hoping some new plugs will do the trick. thanks for any help!

They are NGK CR9EK. Gapped to .7mm, torqued to 18NM. They are a bugger to get at. Take off the tank and lift up the air box. You'll need an extension to fit down into the cylinder head, then somthing to lift them out with. I used a small vacum line and forced it onto the plug then pulled her up.

Magnetic plug wrench with a pivoting joint at the socket end (so that it will clear the frame when doing leftmost plug) is always an option too.

They need to come out for the 12,000 mile valve check. Why not wait 'till then?
If you can't wait, check the valves now then go another 12k.

It really is not that hard a job. Definately do it if your bikes not running right. A lot of people are getting water and corrosion down inside the plug wells and on the plugs. Chronic Triumph problem. There is a new ignition coil cover that is supposed to fix the problem. It is too new to know for sure.

Good idea. Do you happen to know what size socket fits the NGK CR9EK ?

do a search for the spark plugs. The info for the nut size will be listed with it. Just buy a socket to fit it.

I got mine out with a standard 5/8 spark plug socket.
