I have a '97 in lucifer orange and have owned it since '99. It now has close to 70,000 miles on it and runs perfect, but I am going to sell it in the spring. I started doing track days last year and I thought I needed something less "used" for that application so I bought a 2000 Daytona with 9K on it.
I'm really going to miss that bike ...hopefully I can find a buyer that will take it to the 100,000 miles like I had planned.

70 000miles as in 112 000 kms?! I thought mine with 56000 kms was heaps!
I've got a '97 with 52,000 miles on it. First and only bike I've ever owned. There have been a few minor mods since this photo was taken. Different blinkers, seat cowl, wave rotors... I love the new 1050, but just can't seem to part with this one.
There was a black T509 with red frame around these parts (Southern Wisconsin) a long time ago, but I haven't seen it in at least 5 years. Are you from around here?
I live in Madison. I've owned it since 2003. From what I understand it lived a pretty exciting life prior to my owning it. It belonged to a fellow named Duker who does a lot of stunt riding. Now it just goes through twisties and the occasional track day.
Awesome, it must be the same bike then. I don't remember Duker owning it, I only remember it sitting at Todd's dealership (Team Triumph in Janesville) for sale a long time ago. It looks good and good to see somebody riding it...very cool!
Deuce, I know that bike even if the picture dosn't pop up anymore. I used to see you up and down 151 and the interstate all the time for the past few years. I had the only 04 limited black on black in the area. Live in Sun Prairie. Work for Sharer's in Verona now and had no choice but to upgrade to the 08 in blazing orange. Havent seen you yet this year bike still running?
