Dairyland got me for $1700 last year and they wanted $1800 this year four full coverage.
I ended up with State Farm. It still cost $1000 for the year (compared to the $700 I paid in Kansas), but it's better. Every company I talked to just said "Welcome to San Antonio"....the worst place to buy motorcycle insurance in Texas.
I paid $270. annually for my new s3 for full coverage with an additional 3500 for acc's. When I traded my S3 My ins co wanted $57. per year more for my 180 hp 1290 SDr. I agree "shop around". I became a hog member and went thru harley davidson ins, foremost ins is my carrier and when I was in a group run pile up where everyone involved was found at fault my repair bill was over $7k and foremost didn't drop me or even raise my rate! 8 years later and bikes in the garage with 2 and 3 times the power of what I was riding then and still around $650. for 2 bikes fully covered with total replacement value around 20k each.
My kid put his new street glide under his homeowners policy and was paying $200. mo!!! For once the 'young buck' listened to me and now pays $240. a year for same coverage.
We were just talking about this on a local forum.
Actually just did a quote for the new Bonnie and with Full Coverage w/$500 deductible, $250,000 bodily injury & $100,000 underinsured, and $3000 accessory coverage is $263/year.
I also have an at fault accident last Spring
That was a lot for sure! I have full coverage for two bikes (s3 and ninja 300) for 518 with dairyland, I never understand why rates can be so different for people with similar bikes and driving records, and I'm only 29.
I switched to them and saved like 500 from progressive with better benefits. When I Called progressive to cancel and they were able to get closer, but still weren't close enough to not switch.
Since my post above is close enough, and my bill from dairyland just got here, 480 for the year for full coverage on my 2011 s3 and my wife's 2013 ninja 300. Includes accessory coverage and other such nonsense.
Florida here, GEICO, good-ish driving record $420 annually with a $150 deductible on collision and $100 deductible on comprehensive. Towing thrown in there for no charge with added the collision coverage.
Progressive Insurance in Dallas, great driving record, home owner, older than 25yo., multiple motorcycles discount, $500 deductible, $438 for a year full coverage for my '17 STR.
Last September I paid $269.58 for the annual premium with State Farm. That's with $100 comprehensive and $500 collision deductibles. $500 collision will seem like a lot if I lay it down, but I saved a ton by going that high and at my age I'm more likely to have it knocked over in a parking lot or stolen (which would be under the $100 comp deductible) than to hi side it and have it be my fault.
I'm 50 years old with no tickets in the last 3+ years, so that makes a big difference. I also have 3 other vehicles and a house insured with them, so I get discounts from that as well.
'02 Speedy, I'm 25, single and in Ohio. Full coverage for $280 a year with USAA/Progressive. Totally clean record.
