Do you really need the extra braking of Brembos?
If you have that feeling after riding your friend's bike, have a crack on a cruiser and see what the other end of the spectrum feels like

I like the look of the new wheels, although they'll be more difficult to clean. I think I could be tempted to a test ride, which is typical afterI've just spent £500 on a service for my 2003 S3 and put new 014s on. Anyway I'll have the winter period to think about it.

Not trying to say I told you so, but ya "I told ya so"

They had to change the Speed Triple because the new street triple is so bad ass they had no choice but to make the S3 better to justify the price increase.

It would have made no since to offer a bike $2,000 cheaper that can do everything it's big brother can do, and maybe somethings even better, like handling.

So good this is good for Triumph, and us as well.... Cant wait to see the new 08 Speed Triple. They needed the change, the 07 S3 wasnt even featured in the new Sport Rider Naked bike Shootout.

Thumbs down

Can't say I'm at all pleased by the aesthetic changes. The new wheels and black (ugh) forks look quite dull compared to those on the current model. The revised motor and brakes sounds intriguing though.

The black forks look cheap. Probably look even worse after a winter's riding.

gotta say i had a 2 hour thrash on a streety a week ago courtesy of`destination` triumph at washington west sussex ,yeah it handles well, but in my opinion with equal ability riders on a speedy and a streety i dont see the streety being better at handling,i know its lighter etc but i found it could be just as quirky in the twisties as speedy can be, and stopping in NOT as good as i found out when a cage pulled out on me ,to me speedy is all about getting your line right in the bends ,streety was about avoiding bumps that chucked it about abit in the bends,i liked it but only for the `differences` and it definately is NOT in the same class as the S3

waiting for the flames, greasy
