Electrical connectors

I have posted this on two other Triumph sites with no luck. I bought a tail kit from e-bay, top shelf quality but the brake lite supplied does'nt have a connector that mates with the stock Triumph piece from the harness. Does anybody know where to get the three pin connector, (both ends) for the stock Triumph brake/running lite. I dont think the existing one is reuseable. itchin. BTW, it's an 06 S3.

Why not cut the stock connector off of the stock brake light aseembly, with as much of the old wire as you can snip off, and then splice that piece into the new tail light so it plugs in the right way.

If you don't want to cut the stock harness I'm sure if you stop by Radio Shack you can find some single connectors to plug into the stock harness.

I mean you are going to throw away, or not use, the stock break light anyways....so might as well cut the plug off of it. Splice it into the NEW brake late instead of it's plug and reattach it with some high quality connectors or quick solder and shrink wrap it....takes all of 5 minutes with a $10 solder gun and 14 cents in shrink wrap and you'll have it for the next time...and there will be a next time.

Thats not a bad idea DBL and i will if i have to. However, i'am a firm believer in keeping ALL your stock parts. Ya just never know. I believe the S3 is a modern day classic and i would hate to not be able to turn it back to stock if need be.

How many classic cars and bikes restotoration have been ruined or come to a halt because unpopuler at the time stock items were binned. The 63 split window vette had a kit to eliminate the middle body part. The 71 superglide with the boattail.etc..........
