Gripster now available for early model S3s!

I worked with Dean at Tech Spec USA to develop a model of the snake skin gripster for the earlier model S3s. I LOVE their product.. you can really grip the tank and it protects from scratches at the same time.

The item is located on their site here http://www.techspec-usa.com/gs/triumph.html down near the bottom. The pics are of the product installed on my bike. We went through several designs to get the right size to fit the tight curves of the early S3's.

Highly reccomended and worth the money!

You know the 02-04 tank has a different shape than the 97-01, right?

Kuhlka, you beat me to it. Although I wasn't sure where the cut-off was, just know the pic on the website doesn't look anything like my 03.

I would be interested, but since the tank is different between 97-01 & 02-04, how can they have the same part # 62-0032SS?

Easy enough to buy the generic set and cut your own. I had to do that regardless considering I've got a retrofit T595 tail on my 03. This was back before my fork swap, but I've got the same pattern on the bike now with the diamond-pattern pads;
