yes, your alternator looks stellar - battery is a lost cause!
No need to buy battery from dealer however - they will only charge you arm & leg. Lots of good choices available on internet generally or EBay.
Get a sealed battery - AGM

Sounds like a plan. The battery I had was actually branded by the shop I bought it at! Oh well you live and learn.
