TORS opinions
Who has the TORS cans? I gotta say, I kind of dig the stock look of this particular bike. Not a fan of chrome, so wish the TORS came in black or carbon fiver....oh well.
Can anyone comment on "seat of the pants" or even dyno'd performance gains of the TORS? Not much weight savings but the bike is already very 'flickable" so not concerned there. Never rode an S3 with modified exhaust, but I can still tell the stock cans choke the bike....can feel it.
Seems like all the exhaust options out there provide very similar gains, even with a custom MAP, so it's a matter of choosing which look you like.

Hey DBL
I have the TORS on my, and I like them, except like you, I wish we could get them in carbon. I had a Zard for like a weekend and hated the way it sounded, it was really tin-y. The TORS have a nice rumble. They do weigh a ton though. You immediately notice the weight loss if you switch to a low mount pipe. That being said...make me an offer, I'll sell ya mine...I'm thinking Two Bros or MIVV.
Cheers,
Steve

make ME an offer. If they are in 100% PERFECT FLAWLESS condition. I don't want to receive them and see even one scratch. But seriously, make me an offer and I'll see if it's worth it, I might just go new, but if you offer up a good price we can talk.

you could always git the cans ceramic coated black. But as Huff said, yer not losing much weight at all with the TORs. Had them myself fer about 1 month. With the TORs and the TORs tune guys have shown a good 5-6 HP increase.

yeah Cheap keep in mind I come directly from huge superbikes so the S3 feels so light and nimble to me. I can care less about weight savings, would be nice, but not of paramount importance. I don't know why, I just kinda dig the stock look of Speedy. I like your exhaust too.
I might just get the TORS and get them ceramic coated during the winter down time. And 5-6 hp more is pretty good.

DBL,
I'll try to get you some pictures, but I will gurantee that they are not spotless. I have almost 8K on the bike, but there is nothing wrong with them other than normal wear. A new set is $500. I could deal with $275
I'll even shine them up! Lemme know...

I have had the TORS for a year now and I still like them lots. I wanted to keep the stock look, but black would be nice allright. The day I fitted them (and a remap) I was convinced I could feel a power gain. The exhaust note is better than stock and she will pop and bang on a trailing throttle (good for scaring old ladies), but you can tiptoe past the angry neighbours on a sunday morning. Compared to other aftermarket exhausts - they are quiet. A local guy that races a Trip told me that performance-wise the TORS are as good as any. On a trackday I am told the bike is relatively quiet.

i had the tors on for a while and was disappointed in the noise not that much louder than stock and just as heavy. that weight is right where you dont want it and once i went for a lighter set of cans i realised what a waste of money they were in the first place I.M.O .but if you like the look go for it

I loved my TOR's and I wish I didn't sell them. They are louder and deeper than stock.
Steve, I have a M4 carbon and if you are interested we could do a trade?

I have TORS on, they`re on err long term loan from 1050POME, cos I`m too much of a tightarse to buy my own! He`s switched to chain reaction which he recons are better. I`m happy with the TORS, decent power increase and I also like the twin pipe look, and the noise isn`t loud enough to get you any tickets. As has been said, they ARE heavy, though, pretty much the same weight as the standard cans.
