I know, no dumb questions....

.....but this may change your mind. So I got one of those little cable luber things made by Parts Unlimited from Dennis Kirk. So, how do you use the thing?? It says it can be used without removing the cable but you have to remove at least one end right?? Anyone have one? Help!!!

i think this is what you are talking about:

i have one that i use regularly on my dirtbike. and the answer is yes. i always took the cable out of the lever and then attached the luber. maybe the instructions mean that you don't have to take it all the way off the bike.

Is it a pain in the butt? What lube do you use? What about the throttle cables? That one is not easy to take off like the clutch would be.

Was just reading about it.....are the our cable teflon lined? If so, it's not good to lube those kind of cables. I have a 2007. I mean they gave us stainless steel brake lines, they might have gave us teflon lined control cables too.

The cables are teflon lined. All the lube does is attract dust, dirt, and grime.
The swaged on ends need lubricating where they connect to the lever.

Dumb question #1:

What's that for?

Dumb question #2:

Should I have one (or several) in my bike?

Dumb question #3:

What's that noise?!?
