New S3 owner from Oregon, USA

Just wanted to say "hi" from Portland, Oregon.

I'm a D675 rider that's been trying really hard to find the perfect stable mate for my bike (within my budget, of course). After going through 5 different bikes this year, I think I've found the perfect match. I couldn't be happier! =)

Aint they cute?

Yeller?

Nice set! Regardless of what others on this site may say, I think the Scorched Yellow is a sharp color for both the S3 and the 675.

Congrats!

Good choice! I`ve got one of each, too. Not colour matching though. You`ll find you`ll ride speedy more than the 675, more smiles per mile!

Thanks for the warm welcomes!

I'm glad I'm not the only weirdo with an S3 and a D675. The matching color thing was a complete coincident. I was looking for a used 2005+, and in all the resources I looked, I found only 1 in my state! It also turned out to be a really good deal and yellow! =) Needless to say, I HAD to jump on it. Odd that my wife couldn't quite see the necessity, but I'm still trying to explain it to her. I might be making progress, though I doubt it.

I actually kinda like the looks of the cans (for the moment). They came with the offroad ones, and I really like the sound (I'm not a big fan of anything much louder).

Speaking of exhausts.. I just learned my first lesson today : don't hang your helmet on right footpeg

And, yes, the S3 has certainly gotten more saddle time since I got it. Especially for commutes (hands-down win). I'll need to sign up for a couple more track-days to cheer the Daytona up.

Thanks, again! =)

Awesome bikes. I lived in the Portland area all my 33 years. Just moved to Kansas City, MO area about a month ago. Whole different world over here. I think I have seen 5 sportbikes since I have been here. Everything is Harley here. I thought it would be a problem but it's actually very cool, because my bike gets a lot of looks and a lot of comments. Funny, because especially the younger crowd loves the bike but it feels like Harley cruiser is bred into em here...and their fathers would, like, slap their kids upside their head for looking at the bike like a woman would her husband for looking at another chick. It's a weird vibe here for sure. I get snubbed alot, but a lot more positive than negative. Sometimes I wonder if anyone here as even heard of an S3. The most common comment here is: "Is that thing fast?...it looks pretty **** fast!"
