Nobody makes an adapter kit for remounting the right rear foot peg on an '04 S3 with a Triumph High Mount.

I know we have had this discussion before but I have yet to come up with a good/workable solution.

I even contacted Triumph Corporate and asked if an adapter should have come with the pipe and the answer was no (as seen in the catalog pics), there is only the bracket for mounting the exhaust. They recommended a dealer (great bay motorcycles), but they said they do not have a kit for the '04 S3 yet.

Any suggestions?????? Anyone make there own adapter? Considering attempting to machine my own adapter, but I need it to "work" correctly as i will be carrying passangers.

As always any input form you guys is welcome.

Thanks
Ken

This SHOULD work . . since the 2002-2004 models are virtually identical . . but call TBR and ask to be sure:

the difference is the hanger bracket. if you get an '02 hanger bracket the '02 spacer kit should work on the newer bikes. I made my own because I had numerous bad experiences with Great Bay. I will bet they're gonna charge you $80 for an older style bracketplus the spacer kit. When they installed it on mine the mucked up the threads so bad i had to drill and re-tap them, not what i wanted to do on a 2-week old bike. I ended up making my own spacers to work with the newer hanger bracket.

Thanks guys,

97TB, that kit from TBR looks promising except it does not look like it will work with the exhaust mounting bracket i received with my pipe. I will give them a call anyways though.....couldn't hurt.

Yeah TripleTrouble, that's what i was worried about not having delt with Great Bay (or any of the other possible kit providers) before. Thanks for the tip. Sorry to hear they did that to your bike.........I would have been quite upset as well. I guess i will come up with something on my own. My main concern is that the bracket that came with the exhaust seems extremely cheap and fragile. I think I will look around for a whole new bracket/kit or go to a machine shop and see if they can't fabricate one for me.

As always your input is greatly appreciated guys.....
