Just notice tonight that my taillight lens cover is loose, and I can't figure out how to lock it back into place. Do I use glue to hold it back down? How does it stay in place? Thankfully, everything still works fine, but not sure how and why it became loose.

Just as a FYI, I have an underseat Black Widow exhaust, and thinking that might be a reason since it does get a bit hot with the heat right under it.

Please help! Thanks.

I had to cut my lense off to replace the circuit board to an LED one. I glued it back on and used some silicone sealer to keep the water out.

what kind of glue did you use Limey? Where did you get the glue and silicone sealer from? Thanks for the reply.

Not sure if it matters, but my bike is a 2001, just for reference.

I just used super glue and a clear silicone sealer you can get fron any auto parts store.

I repaired mine with epoxy and zip ties. The lens cracks from road vibration. You gotta remove the lens from the tail section with a couple of allen bolts, see what kind of shape it's in and glue it. I drilled holes through both sides of the cracks on mine and zip tied the sections together. I finally bought a new one. MSRP is 135.00, but I got mine from a friend in parts for 85. Good luck!

Thanks for the advices, I took apart the tail section, and have the taillights glue using the clear silicone sealer. The len housing is fine, but the inside, somehow one of the metal clips is missing. Might have to do the ziptie method or go with Clear Alternative lens instead.
