I just got a brand new '03 S3 and I'm gonna do my synthetic oil change. How many quarts of oil does it take exactly? I'm guessing about three.

Thanks bro! I looked at my owner's manual and all it said was to keep checking the dipstick to see how much oil to add, and it explains the best way to get an acurate reading on the dipstick. I couldn't find an amount. Thanks again

Although it sez an amount. THere are actually 3 amounts... 1) dry, 2) wet change no filter, 3) wet change with filter. The service manual lists them all - in all 3 cases, the best thing to do is to fill with 3 quarts, wait, run engine short while, check and adjust. That's the only way to be sure you'll have the right amount and not blow seals.
