They make really awesome cars. Haven't you ever heard of the uhhh.... and the umm... So, they probably make pure crap. Maybe they're just still bitter over that whole British Empire thing and they're trying to get some revenge?

Triumph is a privately held corporation.

I hope you're not posting THIS one on all forums, too.

In any case, it's old news and none of the "takeover" targets have been in any kind of talks with the Indian company. In Triumph's case, it boils down to exactly what Speed3 said. Unless or until Mr Bloor just gets tired of it all, Triumph isn't going anywhere.

Triumph is a private company, so a "take over" in the traditional sense of the term is not possible. However, there is the less known and less applied take over of driving up to Mr. Bloor's house in a dump truck full of money with a sign on the side that reads, "Triumph is now ours." Bloor is in this for the money (why else is he starting factories in Thailand?), so I can promise you that for the right price Triumph can be had private company or not.

Kind of silly to speculate, isn't it? If Mr Bloor wants to keep or sell the company, We won't have any say in the matter. Waste of time IMO. I do love my S3 though.

interesting. an indian co takeover would be rediculous. but then again, we'd all still have bikes made in the "good ol days"

i'm gonna have to agree with the fact that everyone has their price.

XavyBaby13, cross-post all you want. i wouldn't sweat that comment for a second.

Do you really think that the quality of a motorcycle depends on what country builds it? Are you old enough to remember a time when people thought Japanese motorcycles were "crap"? We live in a global economy with people doing amazing things everywhere.
