Anybody found the standard suspension settings on the 02-on S3 a bit harsh? I have found it a little to firm, and have not managed to find a good compromise so far. Back off the settings and the bike tends to run wide when pushed, stiffen it and it feels a handful over poorer surfaces.

The Speed 4 I had before was much more composed in this
department

I am a fast road rider and way 90kg approx

Anyone found that perfect set up?

Any ideas guys?

LEDGERJIM,

Yes I find the stock settings on my '04 S3 quite firm.....I stand 5'9" and weigh 140lbs. I was thinking of adjusting it myself but got weary of screwing things up after some posts from our fellow rat forum members. (You could probably find the threads by doing a search).

Anyways, if you do find a solution, let me know cause unless I can come up with a solution that is doable, I am going to take it to the dealer. I would rather do it myself though...

Thanks
Ken

Take your bike to a dealer or reputable race shop and have them bounce test the bikes suspension. It is the only true way to have the suspension set up for your weight and riding style!! I had it done to my 03 s3 and it is night and day as for the performance goes!! Good luck!
