Engine failure after bike drop

There having been a lot of complaints about S3's having catastrophic engine failure after the bike has fallen on its left side caused by oil traveling through the crankcase hose into the airbox and into the cylinders. Thus, hydro-lock when the engine is started with resulting engine failure.

Any comments on the inexpensive preventive fix shown at the link below?

The real fix for this is to install a proper crankcase breather. Other bikes (Like my old TL1000S) had a breather system like the Triumph's, and oil would blow up into the airbox. What you'd do is re-route the crankcase breather to another collector with a return hose to the head. It required bunging a hole into the valve cover and then fitting an elbow connector, but it worked a treat and some of them looked pretty cool to boot.

Got any other pics of the mod? I have a '00 and it's seeping oil. So had thought of something similar.
