Mixing Tires?

Does anyone else run a mixed combination (same manufacturer, different model)?

I have been running a Pilot Road on the rear and a Pilot Power up front. I am on my second set of this combination and am quite happy with it, just curious if anyone else is running this way.

I ran the pilot power on the front with a Dunlop D208 on the back for 5000 miles. I had no issues. Pilot power and D208 have almost identical tread pattern, and both are Z-rated.
Just changed the front to a D208GP. The rear still has the D208 with maybe 1000 miles left on it. I've got 2 spare rears and a D208F front, waiting to go.

IMHO, its OK to mix brands of similar capabilities, or put a touring rear with a sport front from the same manufacturer, as long as you remember that you've got a touring tire on the rear, and you may not have the same level of roadholding or cornering ability as before.
