Being an owner of a 95 S3 I've tried to keep my eye on the resale value of these bikes. This last year I've noticed what appears to be a fluctuation in their resale value - upwards! Am I dreaming, or suffering the consequences of to many cigars and good cups of coffee - I swear I see more 95's at $4000 plus these days - when before a $3500 was the norm.

It's not your cee-gars or coffee, I noticed it too. In the cycles for sale rags they are all in the 4K all the way up to a high of 6K for a super clean low mileage one.

The thought of quantity here comes to mind, as they only imported this bike for 2 years there cannot be that many around, I would imagine 600(in the US) or less by now. That of course increases the collectability of the model/year - originally I had'nt thought of that and when I went to trade for the then new t595(daytona) they offered me such a paltry amount, it could only be counted on the middle finger - which at they time was $4300(new $11,000 otd) - quite an insult I felt, but who am I?! So after giving up on selling, seeing this price elevation got me to think - after all a good T120 of yesteryear is reaching 6500 big ones - if the gas does'nt give out perhaps in a few years I could get nearly my money back - not that I'm holding out or anything - but the smile is beginning to broaden! :-)

There was one for sale here (Orange '96) for weeks and weeks. The poor guy couldn't unload it, and all the info and pics sounded/looked great.
Unfortunately, I can't remember the asking price, but $3200 sounds a bit familiar.
If I'd known I would have posted it here so one of you guys could have snapped it up!
