How many tickets did you get with Speedy?

I've been riding a Speed Triple for one month, and I'm at 6 tickets. All received at once, by the same very nice cop. 22 points are at stake (not to mention the fines), and it's an 11-point system in NY... I hope the lawyer I'm hiring is good, and that I will keep my license.

It's hard to ride such a bike at legal speeds and with legal moves on the road(no double yellow crossing, no knee out and down cornering, no wheelie cruising, etc.). I've tried, and it was so boring

And the cops in this country... Oh well, everybody knows.

1) unsafe passing (double yellow)
2) passing in no pass zone
3) failed to use signal passing
4) failed to keep right
5) speed in zone (79 in 55)
6) speed not reasonable (90 in 55)

5) is why the cop went after me in the first place

6) is because cop claimed that I took off and that he couldn't catch me up, pretending I was doing 90 which is totally BS (both speed and taking off, I'm not stupid, if I see a police car in my mirrors I don't take off!). I was riding with a friend of mine on a KTM SuperDuke, he was behind me, he saw the police car hidden I didn't, he scrubed speed I didn't, btw winding road so rearview limited, cop pulled my friend over and didn't go after me, instead called another cop with radio to intercept me ahead; I was not seeing my friend in my mirrors anymore so I really slowed down, eventually after one minute riding alone and slowly I pulled over on the side of the road to wait for my friend and maybe make u-turn, that's when I got intercepted by another police car ahead of me...

You scofflaw hooligan! Isn't there something in the Empire State that prevents stacking of violations like that? I guess that's something your lawyer could answer.

sounds like you ran into a giant prick, whose writing several tickets for the same offense. i bet just about any lawyer would get over 1/2 those thrown out. good luck.

and I currently have a good streak going, 0 tickets (convicted anyways) on the speedy. I'm actually quite amazed considering I've passed one sherrif going about 80 in a 55, and knocked over a highway patrolman after he pulled me over for doing a wheely.

If I can get a wheelie/stoppie wheelie/stoppie combo in downtown (reckless op, instant license suspension and possible jail time) thrown dropped to a brake-light violation, your lawyer should be able to at least get all but two of those thrown out. Sounds to me like the worst you should get is passing on double yellow and speeding. All those other infractions were duplicates. The fact that you were sitting on the side of the road waiting should help your cause. If you were running, you wouldn't have been sitting there on the side of the road.

Wow, that's a lot of stuff. I've been on rides where I've committed all of those infractions multiple times. Just haven't been caught. (certainly not with all 6 at once).

I've got 2 tickets on the S3 in a little over 2 years. Reckless driving(92/55) and speeding (69/55). The first one got me a day in jail. I mostly speed on the track with my track bike these days.

Although I have taken two trips from northern Virginia to the dragon this year.

Did you get one ticket with 6 offenses or 6 actual physical tickets?

so far lucky with zero...

Max... man thats a bummer. I know you realize your were in the wrong, but we all are at least once on a ride (atleast I am haha). That ticket seems way excecive. That power hungry officer is the kind that give cops bad bad. I know plenty of cops and they are for the most part level headed and not pricks on the job. Hope all works out well for you.
