Bad Dealer... So I take my bike to the dealer for its 500 mile check up. While there I have them put in a K&N and change the plugs... Ten miles and $250 later I here the sound of loose or broken vacuum line. I also noticed a light ticking sound under a load from 2nd to 3rd gear.
When I get home I tried to see where the sucking sound was coming from only to find this..

Not only was one bolt loose, but was cross threaded and the nut on the air box side is stripped and spinning!
So took the tank off to see if I could remedy the problem only to find the front hose to the air box unattached! Guess I found the air leak.
I guess I am just happy that my bike will be repaired without question.
I also noticed one of the throttle bodies being blocked by a poorly seated velocity stack. The stack was blocking more than a quater of the opening. Man, what a pain in the butt that was to fix. Especially without removing the bottom portion of the air box.
After bolting the air box back together I noticed this plug coming from the injector lines...

Is it supposed to be connected to something?
I couldn't find its counterpart so I put the tank back on and took the bike for a spin... All is well and no more vacuum leak.
Good Dealer... So I called the dealer, and mentioned the unattached air hose, stripped bolt on air box, and the fact the didn't give me my stock air filter back (after I mentioned I wanted it returned.) The owner expressed his disappointment with the service department and assured the issue would be remedied. He said that would put a new stock filter in the mail and would order a new air box and velocity stacks to make sure there will be a perfect fit.
So is this a sign of a good dealer? One that fixes the problem over the phone and will get me in and out of the shop next week without questioning my integrity or honesty? Or is this a bad dealer that tries to get away with there mistakes and hopes I don't look or see the damage to my bike?
I am just happy that I found the problem first and wasn't blamed for doing it.
