Ok, I did it finally. Weeks of deliberation and I finally signed on the dotted line to purchase a black 2007 Speed Triple. it's still in the crate in the back of the shop so they need roughly 2 days for prep..there's a few bikes ahead of me on their schedule but I'll be riding by Saturday.

$10,900 out the door and a 35% discount on all accessories.

I'll post pix when I take possession of it and write commentary from this reformed sport bike racer after my first ride this weekend.

$10,900 a little pricey, but the 35% discount could save you alot of cash in the long run. Is that for as long as you've got the bike??? Get the Arrow exhaust and you've already saved yourself $300 some bucks.

That was the cheapest in all of southern California. NOBODY wanted to budge....and I checked 4 dealerships.

Yeah, he said he'd honor that discount on accessories as long as I go through him.

I'm going tonight to check on something and I want to "URGE" him to see if they can have it ready BY Friday at lunch so I can cruise the beach after work and wake up to it on Saturday morning in my garage for an ALL DAY romp on the twisties (within break in specs of course).

I just need extra time to delete the sport bike brain, stance, etc....and adapt to this new style of rider position, feel, engine, etc.
