Weather was perfect for a ride & the beast decided to play up
Ignition turned on & the instrumentation lighting etc did its usual thing, not enough battery grunt to fire it over for long
Tried again & same result
Tried to bump start & dead as a dodo
Jumper leads applied & she started, put stand down to park & engine stops, stand back up & tried again she goes then dies.
End result no ignition lights at all although horn/indicators/lights all seem OK
Checked the Starter Motor 30A fuses & both OK
Put bike back into the garage & cursed
Any thoughts from the expert out there ?? Thanks
(Kill switch in the correct position - Yes)
Guess it may be as simple as a battery on the way out & slightly down on power (New Dec 2005 so should be still kicking)
Can these bike be jump started safely ? &
Is there a fusible link anywhere it the system ?

Loose battery/wire connections? I think these batteries woefully inadequate -- we're essentially talking about a small car that has two wheels.

Put the stand up and pull in the clutch. Try it.
