I tried about 5 shops but couldn't find any Nissin pads anywhere so I ended up getting a set of Vesrah brake pads for the rear wheel. The part no. is VD-340 and it says kevlar on the packaging.

I bougth them thinking they were sintered pads. Here's a link to the company's website. the one on the left, the green one is the one I got.The shop didnt have the VD-340JL. I think JL means sintered according to the website.

I need to know if these are suitable or should I go and look for sintered ones. What are the downsides of non-metallic or kevlar pads.

VESRAH VD-340

dont know why but the link only takes you till the options page where you select 'BRAKES' and then select what bike you need

thanks

The Vesrah's you have are fine bro. They will last a little longer. The sintered have a better bite but won't last QUITE as long. Vesrah makes kick ass pads...you can't go wrong either way. I've used there pads for MANY MANY a track day on my CBR1000rr. I have them on my bike now.
