They keep showing soccer down here on the sports channels, but for the life of me, I just can't get interested in it. :???:

The soccer fan (hooligans, thugs or whatever is the best description) fights are novel tho'. :brk:

I prefer watching rugby (union of course), cricket (here we go!), golf, yachting (at the moment, Americas Cup is on), and some other sports.

Lived in the US for a few years, really like American (gridiron) football. Baseball during the world series (not the tobacco chewing and spiting tho', yuk!!! :evil: uke: )

However, I did see where Westham did good tho', in some recent game.

I know Ireland are supposedly one of the favourites. We'll see i guess.

Yup, it'll be a good one. We're still in with a chance at the Americas Cup tho' at Valencia. However, that sport has become very mercenary, with kiwis amongst the crews on every boat.

I worked with a guy who is a dead-set West Hamster. Living on the edge all season he was guv... so what happened? Did they manage to hang in there? I have a soft spot for Man City and Reading (they used to be my 3rd Div team before they moved up.
Kiwis aren't only good at rugby. Top sailors, tri-athletes, toheroa diggers.... the list goes on.
