Well I've been lurking on the site for a couple of months and I finally found an 06 triple (faster white) about two weeks ago. I've put about 800 miles on her since then, and it is by the far the most fun bike I have ever had. For my price range it was between a triple or the s2r 800, and for anybody in the same situation, this is the way to go. (I rode both, and I don't care if its a Ducati, 50hp is 50hp) Anyway I know there have been many tire threads and I hate to repost on you, but has anybody had any experience with bridgestone bt014's? I found some on clearance for 150/set and was thinking I might pick them up even though I have about 3/4 tread left. Any advice would be appreciated.

BT14's are alright. I'd drop the extra coin and get another set of Michelins

I have the bridgestones BT014's on my zx-14 but I suppose that doesn't count, I've posted it before but I've found nirvana with the Pirelli Corsa III's on my S3.

I always thought the stock Michelin Pilot Powers were fantastic tires, gobs of grip but when it was time to change I put the pirelli's on and have new-found confidence with grip, lean angles and most importantly for me feel. I feel I have a much more communicative front end with the Pirelli's something I had felt was wanting on my S3 prior to the Corsa III install.

I'm a big fan of Michelin "Pilot Roads". Pilot "Powers" are good but they simply don't give enough wear and I avg. 15k miles /yr.
Just recieved a set of Avon 55/56 Storms and will give them a try at the next change.
My experience with B'stones hasn't been good, particularly with the front. They cup and make a racket.
Good luck with the new scoot!
