new to triumph's NOT riding.. but

the bike is totally sweet. I want to know if my thinking is a lot like you all here.

Its an 06 white with 4k miles on the clock.

I'm getting up early tomorrow for a LONG ride on her (4am)

My first observation has me seeing some things - it NEEDS frame sliders, it might need a tooth smaller on the front, but the suspension is very lmtd in the adjustments. I've got the rebound I believe on the bottom out almost all the way trying to keep up with the front end. The rear is just to mushy. I was going to add some preload to the rear and see how that would help but no spanner wrench or long enough screw driver. I'm still looking for the rebound on the front and I'm timid to mess with fork geometry by raising them or lowering them just yet. And the PP's for street riding is kewl, but they go TOO quick. I'm thinkin pilot road or w/e they are. This is for fun and some twisites, i've got the race bike for pushing it on.

gimpsta, nice stable! The showa gear is decent, but obviously not the most "high tech". Many have had a friend help set sag (or pay the few bucks) and have reported great improvement with the new found balance front and rear. I'm not sure of your weight, but the bikes are said to be set up around a mythical rider weighing no more than 170-180 lbs. A change of fork oil amount and/or weight can help a bit as well as a change of f/r spring if you are using all the current adjustments. Just my $.02, but I would fiddle with the easier/cheaper stuff before changing to new cartridges and components. There are many tire threads and some good recent posts in the Review section in the feature section if you do a couple of searches (kind of a pain here, but usually very helpful).

Cheers
Bob
