I'm just about ready to order the Woodcraft clip-ons for my '01. Anybody had any issues with them on a speedy of that year?

I tried them on my '02. They are really nicely built and bolt on without having to pull the fork tubes. But they were way too low to use for more than about an hour at a time. They would be just the thing for track days. I ended up finding a set of Daytona clip-ons that were much more comfortable.
I would sell you mine at a bargain but they are 45mm and your fork tubes are 43mm.

I put on woodcraft clip-ons (45mm) on my 01 S3 since I got it new, and I absolutely love them. I had to re-route the throttle and clutch cables, replaced the front brake line with a shorter (Daytona's) one, and that was about it. One could get away with the original brake line, but its extra length IS noticeable. No problems with the clearance between controls/bars and headlights/tank, and no wierdness with the idle from lock to lock. I use crg barend mirror on left side, and visibility is far better than the stock mirror set up. Riding position is good for me and I have done 10-hour plus rides without killing my back or wrists. Hope this helps. Cheers.
