I have a 2001 Daytona 955i. Red in color. I was wondering how difficult it is to switch into the front end speed triple setup. Basically I want the naked look and the more upright handle bars that come on the speed triples.

What is all involved, and is anyone interested in a trade?

Flat6, my 2 cents is that you might be ruining a great motorcycle. If the bar height bothers you, suggest you look in the aftermarket.

Flat6 - what you will need from 97-01 S3 is:
Top Triple Clamp
Risers
Bars
Mirror Clamps & mirrors (or bar-ends)
New Brake lines
Clutch cable
Headlight bracket
Headlights
Instrument bracket.

Unfortunately I cant afford to get a new setup, thats why im considering doing the conversion. Hopefully someone would be interested in my fairings front end, etc... for a possible trade;

Helibars has clip-ons that raise the bar height and move them back.

For the front end I think you may want to re-think what this is really going to cost you. A few hundred dollars on a set of heli-bars or other after market setup is going to be a lot cheaper in the end when you consider time, effort and level of difficulty.

i was able to re-route my brake, clutch and throttle lines from the daytona for use on renthal ultra lows

it took me a few hours to get it right (making certain the bends where smooth etc)

the front brake line is the only thing that i don't care for the routing (essentially straight down) but the rest are fine

I am thinking about buying either a speed triple or daytona and doing the same conversion to a daytona 955i is it worth it? and how much would it cost? Performance wise which one is better daytona or speed triple? Please let me know thanks
