I need one of them there special edition speed triples, matt black with all the goodies on. Trouble is I dont live in the US, and they are not doing them anywhere else. For what you pay for them in US$, I can buy it , ship it to New Zealand and pay import duty, all for 10% less than the cost of a standard S3 here. Someone is profiting from our high currency and it isnt me!

I have emailed a couple of US dealers who have sold their allocation of one each. Anyone know of a local dealer who can get hold of one?

Cost of buying one locally and doing all the bits myself would be around 35 to 40% more than my import idea - help

Sure they sell the matt edition outside US. At least the Scandinavian main importer has them (most, if not all, already spoken for).

Why not get a S3 of any color and have it locally resprayed with the correct shade of matt black? Much cheaper than hunting a bike down from another side of the globe, just to get 3 pieces of plastic + fuel tank in your preferred color.

Edit. Just noticed you want the Arrow exhaust also. Was there anything else on the special edition that is different from basic model?

I'm totally with you on that one

If you decide to do what Martin-R says make sure the people know what they're doing.
The finish on this baby is something out of the ordinary

You get the matt black paint, arrow can plus a whole bunch of carbon goodies. Check the link and the pictures at

http://www.triumph.co.uk/usa/3603_5009.aspx

The whole idea is to get it how I want it, right colour, no respray, not paying for extra parts, and still for way less than a bog standard S3 costs in my local market without the parts and in the wrong colour. Sure I could but one, spray it and buy the parts but the US import option costs 60% of the total of doing all this.
