So I'm on the Sunday breakfast ride, leading the group (on accounta for some reason, they think I know where I'm goin'). Took about 10 minutes before we hit the back roads an' it was two groups as a couple of us wicked it up a bit.

I'm doin' a little over 120 on the speedo an' alla the sudden, this turtle shows up in my crosshairs an' there's no gettin' around it. Who said Speedy's suspension was no good? I didn't feel a thing.

However, the guy behind me said the turtle went about six feet in the air.

I felt kinda bad, on accounta usually when I see a turtle, I'll stop an' pick the beastie up an' deposit it in a safe haven. That turtle's gonna haunt me in my dreams.

Yep, dodged a bullet on that one. I think I just clipped it rather than nailing it head-on.

Come to think of it, it mighta been yellow :-D

Nice! That turtle got a nice close view of your bike.

Other day the fiance and I were riding and came upon a snapping turtle just chilling in the middle of the road. Stopped and picked that sucker up and got it off the road. Turtles are cool

i ran over a turtle on my sv650, had i not been following the car ahead quite so closely, i would have had time to swerve(lesson learned).

i ran right smack dab over the middle of the turtle, just felt like a speed bump. i got lucky.
