Couple of acquaintances were also there at the bike night on their 675s. One of 'em, in the SLOWER scorched yellow color, had this cool looking stuff on the sides of his tank, so I was askin' him about it. I've seen the clear grab panels, and while they may work fine, the look like carp. This was something else again - a panel on each side of the tank and one in the middle. Looked great, much better than the standard puffy faux-carbon-fiber pads. Apparently it's removable, too.

Weird - I've either never heard of 'em or never paid attention, but the company's called Techspec. They make kits for the 675 and S3. Anybody have 'em?

At $45 for a pair of tank panels and a center panel, it seems worth a shot. If I like it, I might order a sheet and cut some out for the TT. (No, I have no affiliation, stock in the company, whatever).

I have those on my D675 also, wonderful thing to have, they should be considered manditory on a bike like the D675 with its slippery smooth tank. Stellar grip and no more crushed nuts and cramped wrist. Havent felt that I needed them or stomp grips on my S3 though..

great find. I just got tankslappers, darn it. These look like more fun!

rudebwoy85 - you have a speedy and a daytona? That seems like a great combo. Never been on a Daytona, but ***** they look like a hell of a good time. Awesome

Nothing for earlier models, but my friend says they were very easy to work with, and happy to do custom stuff.

You can also order a "general sheet" of the stuff and cut it to suit yourself. That's what I'm thinking of doing for the TT.

I ordered the MX sheet and cut it to fit. Works great but doesn't look as good as the lower profile sportbike grip tape they have. Doesn't bruise my knees like Stomp Pads' studs.

I wrote to see if they could do the earlier S3... we'll see. I like the idea of the grip (I certinly could use it) and protecting the tank at the same time. Removable and reusable is certinly cool as well.
