Just checked out two new speedys which arrived at the shop with the metal tanks, couldn`t get a pic because they were still in the crates. It`s NOT the same metal tank as fitted to the 675, it`s almost identical to the plastic tank except it`s got a seam on the bottom edge. I`ll get a pic tomorrow morning and post it.
We are VERY lucky over here, our stock speedys don`t have a cat or secondary air injection and now have metal tanks too!

What's special about the metal tanks?

Am I the only one who doesn't seem concerned about this?

Sweet, I got my bike at Peter Steven here in Melbourne and they didn't know about the metal tanks. The again neither did I till i got on this forum.

Mine was built in Oct 06. but first registered in Feb 07. The dealer said it has 7 somewhere on the VIN to denote it being an 07 model.. no idea myself???

I didn't realise we didn't have a cat or 2nd air injection.

I swapped out the stock cans for the Arrow low mount anyway.

Quick question, does having no cat on our aussie delivered model mean we have a different power output?

I suppose having a metal tank would make magnetic tank bags more useful.

I don't care either, not sure why anyone would. I do want to see the new tail lights though!
