...I see a nervous hunched dwarf.
Just can't seem to get the "arse-at-the-back-of-the-pillion-stop-head-down-arms-bent" posture.
I see Colin Edwards, Ruben Xaus and John Hopkins looking like Gods on their bikes week in week out, but I always appear to be afflicted by a horrible type of osteoporosis - stiff, inflexible and frozen in a death grip on the bars!

Only happens in the hills or the recetrack, I guess it comes automatically when you are gunning it. That position won't make sense in traffic.

Also seems to me that the traffic ahead only slows down dramatically while I m checking out the bike in the reflection. The reaction when I get my sight back onto the road is generally "ohhh*****" followed by emergency braking. :-D :-D .

If you're admiring your own reflection to see how cool you may or may not look on a bike, perhaps consider plastic surgery?

Speedy in stock form is really the wrong style of bike to ride with an aggressive racing position.

Speedy's a more upright and comfy sorta beastie unless you're really pushin' it. Unless you feel like fitting clip-ons, forget about looking like the GP guys.

That sorta thing takes gettin' used to. I swear it felt like I was leanin' okay, but my arse was still on the seat and my chest was way off the tank.

Not how to do it.

I had my son video me as I caned it down our street. I noticed that I was quite upright, but yeah, that's what S3 is like. On second and third viewing I kinda liked the look. Its a sort of "I'm ready to jump off any second" look. And I think that is part of the hooligan appeal. It is different, out there, unconventional and wonderful.

One thing the ride on the 1098 taught me - it's a whole lot easier to lay down on the tank when the handlebars are an extra foot or so away from the seat. The S3 is a fairly short throw from tank to steering head. You can't really put your arms down because it's awkward with the wide bars, so if you want to really get down on it, you've sorta gotta go the Ben Spies route. I swear, the guy needs elbow sliders.

For those of you still using the stock mirrors, here's somethin' else to practice.
